We put our trust everyday in these elected officials who make choices that affect our safety and image to the rest of the world. Little do some of us know Counter Terrorist Unit a division of our defense are the ones who get their hands dirty. In the drama series 24: Season 5 the President of the United States has a lot to handle in one day. There are no safe choices just the lesser bad of the bunch. With chemical warfare, terror threats and assassinations keeping CTU agents busy the final decisions lays in the hands of the President. Is it possible to make all decisions in the best interest of the country and maintain a firm position in office without his integrity being compromised?

24: The Complete 5th Season takes off with the assassination of President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) which is the first of a series of catastrophic events. The assassination is part of a conspiracy to frame former Los Angeles CTU federal agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) who was believed to be dead for over a year. In order to clear his name Jack allies himself with old CTU affiliate Chloe O’ Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) who assists him in finding out that Russian terrorists plan to release syntax nerve gas throughout different populous areas. The terrorist demands are to prevent the signing of an arms treaty between current U.S. President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin) and Russian President Suvarov. President Logan refuses to give in to terrorist demands and one by one American lives are taken.

Jack works on the field with CTU via stealth communication and attempts to stop them with his tactical espionage experience even though there are over nineteen nerve gas tanks and many terrorists operating in different target areas. Jack Bauer beats the odds many times catching the bad guys, killing terrorist and saving people he cares about. This guy is committed and very reliable. He gets the job done by any means necessary whether it’s hijacking a plane, forcing someone at gunpoint for information or making deals with German government agents just to obtain evidence.

Throughout each episode more familiar names involved in the conspiracy are revealed that will shock you. The deeper Jack gets into discovering the source of this terrorism the more dangerous and personal the mission gets as the evidence becomes unbelievable.
