Farris, becoming a cop, defeating the cops, and a slew of other mindless side-stories.

Aside from Rogen’s popularity, what people seem to notice most about the movie is Anna Farris herself. You might be asking yourself why, and I don’t have the slightest clue. Anna Farris is by no means unattractive, but there are much better looking people in Hollywood, without the artificial look, or the stigma of being in all four Scary Movie installments. To be frank, Anna Farris has never done a single thing that should be regarded as funny. She had a brief stint in Waiting, but what was her monolog but regurgitated rhetoric about male impotence that has been done a million times over? Her role in this movie wasn’t even that important and she had a minimal amount of screen time.

Just as I did in my review for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, I have to thank the distributors for not tagging any special features on here. It probably has more to do with the transition to Blu Ray discs over DVDs, and not the quality of the film itself, but in a perfect world movies like this wouldn’t have anything extra to show for themselves. After watching the special features on the Disaster Movie DVD it’s hard to think of anyone having to suffer through anything like that again.

Obviously this is all a case of taste because somebody had to have enjoyed it for it to be released, but its hard to think that somebody out there is watching this and truly finding humor in its ridiculousness. It is shallow and unsatisfying: the preverbal excursive in how to make a comedy based on sensational humor. At least Seth Rogen took the chance to redeem himself just later this year with his outstanding role in Funny People, but this one will definitely be something to frown about when checking his IMDB after I have forgotten all about it.
