Germany says no to Valkyrie

Germany's government is refusing to allow Bryan Singer to shoot his Tom Cruise vehicle Valkyrie in their country. The reason? Cruise's affiliation with Scientology. Seriously; they're banning a film from shooting in their country because of its star's religious beliefs.

The government's position is that Scientology is essentially a scam instead of a religion; true or not (and I'll leave my opinion out of it this time), it's not exactly the first time that Germany has had trouble with religious tolerance.

Even more ironically, the film is about the true story of a plot to assassinate Hitler.
