Sopranos and Law & Order vet Michael Imperioli has just joined the cast of The Lovely Bones, the adaptation of the best-selling book that will be directed by Peter Jackson. This follows reports from last week that Susan Sarandon has also come on board.
The story centers around a young girl in Heaven looking down on her family after being murdered. Rachel Weisz and Ryan Gosling are set to play the parents, Stanley Tucci is said to play the killer, and unknown Saoirse Ronan will play the lead.
Sarandon will play her grandmother, while Imperioli will play Len Fenerman, the detective in charge of her murder investigation.
