Jessica Biel told Entertainment Weekly that she has passed on playing Wonder Woman in the upcoming Justice League movie. This, at least, confirms the rumor that she was actually offered it.
And thus the casting process continues. Names that have come up before for the role have included Kate Beckinsale (a made-up rumor), Jessica Alba, and Lost's Evangeline Lilly (both pure conjecture).
As far as other parts go, IESB.net reported that Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., a rapper who appeared in A.T.L. has auditioned for the role of the Green Lantern.
Meanwhile, JoBlo.com brings up a good question: how will they cast Superman? The difficulty in casting him in the previous Superman movie is the main reason for that film's four years of pre-productions and numerous directors . When Brett Ratner was still onboard, an offer went out to Josh Hartnett, who turned the role down; Ratner was then said to be choosing between Brendon Fraser and TV star Matthew Bomer (who most recently had a cameo in the Chuck pilot), but then dropped out of the project. Bryan Singer, of course, chose Brandon Routh, who won't be a part of Justice League, which in turn has inspired rumors that Tom Welling will take the role, which the producers of Smallville deny. Your head spinning yet?
