The Saturn Awards, an annual celebration of all things science fiction and fantasy, were held on Tuesday night and the list of winners was long and eclectic, with movies like Cloverfield, 300, Sweeney Todd, Enchanted, and Eastern Promises all winning awards.
Wait, what makes Eastern Promises a science fiction or fantasy movie? And 300 was like, a year and a half ago, we're over it. Eh, at least the Enchanted wins prove that members of the female race were involved in voting - or maybe it turns out really geeky guys just love Patrick Dempsey.
On the TV front, Lost dominated with four wins: Best Network Series, Best Actor (Matthew Fox), Best Supporting Actor (Michael Emerson), and Best Supporting Actress (Elizabeth Mitchell, who shared the award with The Sarah Connor Chronicles' Summer Glau). Boo-yah! Ultra-cheesy Heroes meanwhile got nothing, while Dexter won for Best Cable Series.
