With five new movies opening midweek in wide release and another in limited, there's much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend. And since I'm a bit too saturated at the moment with turkey and wacky family members to be at 100% news-article-writing capacity, I figured I'd give you a heads up on the plethora of reading material we've already got for you.
First off, the main draw is our record eight new celebrity spotlights we have up this week; you can see them all on our homepage, but here are the direct links to these widely-encompassing interviews:
Heath Ledger talks about I'm Not There and playing the Joker...
Todd Haynes talks about directing I'm Not There and his offbeat, often brilliant career...
Keri Russell talks about the difficulties of playing cello in her new movie August Rush and why she's not appearing in Star Trek...
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers likewise chats about August Rush as well as wearing funny costumes in the hit show The Tudors...
Freddie Highmore talks, presumably, about why he's almost preposterously adorable (oh, and August Rush as well)...
Stephen King talks about his illustrious career, the torture-porn fad, being afraid of everything, and the secret meanings of The Mist...
Marcia Gay Harden elaborates on what it was like playing a evangelistic zealot in the movie adaptation of The Mist...
and finally Andre Braugher talks about The Mist, his awesome TV work, and why the assertion that "these are interesting times we live in" is mostly B.S.
In addition to all of that, we have full reviews for the five new releases: Enchanted, Hitman, The Mist, August Rush, and I'm Not There. Check it all out and enjoy the long weekend!
By the way, we here at TheCinemaSource are most thankful for our readers. That's not sucking up, no sir. You're just awesome, that's all.
